Jill Solomon has been an artist since 1974 when she began her career at the Croydon College of Art and Design in England. Her work has been widely exhibited in the USA, England and Canada. She has also been shown at the Fitchburg Art Museum, the Danforth Museum and the American Craft Museum in New York City. She is the recipient of a Massachusetts Artist Foundation Award and has been honored with an award from the National League of American Pen Women.
In September 2003, Ms Solomon won the Mayors Award for "outstanding visual art in 3D" at the first annual City of Boston Arts Festival.
